Duchess & Alleycat PR
I worked with Duchess & Alleycat PR from 2018 to 2020, and really enjoyed this collaboration. The agency specialises in marketing and design for prestigous restaurants in Glasgow. After finding my work on Instagram they asked me to create illustrations for La Vita Pizzaria's Christmas menu cover, which I did two years running. It was a lot of fun weaving a design together that was colourful and detailed. More work followed for spot illustrations of cocktails on their drinks menu. In addition I was commissioned to make a colour illustrated map of Glasgow showing the Nico restaurant branches, and then a set of 31 colour spot illustrations for HOME BY NICO restaurant delivery packaging. This was the largest commission so far and I enjoyed drawing so much food and items around the theme of Sicilian culture, including the ingredients of their dishes, Sicilian tiles, ceramics and the Trinacria motif.

Wild Food Café
Wild Food Café was a vegan restaurant in Neal's Yard, London. The food was inspired by the owners Joel and Aiste Gazdar's belief in healthy interesting food and beautiful presentation. I wanted to capture the colours, textures and joy, and be playful while painting.

I love painting cakes, playing with putting subtle colours next to bright ones, and describing the textures with chunky and fine pastel marks. Showing the look of a shiny chocolate glaze or lightly whipped cream is so much fun, and I love to show how delicious a cake could be. An illustration of a cake can add charm and make a menu or advert more appealing.

These are milkshakes that would like to be cakes. I love their sheer over-the-top nature and couldn't resist painting them. Again it's about texture, colour, and joy.
